I find this weird, as neither site benefited from spammy backlinks since I've owned them.By using backlink-viewing tools , like ahrefs I can see a lot of profile backlinks pointing at both websites, but I didn't put those links there. Additionally, I have, for years, warned people not to buy into blog networks, profile link spam, paid text links. And it is easy for a spam peddler to add questionable backlinks pointing anybody's website, since making spam is what they do every day. Thus far, neither urls appears to be adversely affected by links, and in this situation, getting traffic coming from Google isn't especially important relative to the large audience I already have. I did create reconsideration emails for both websites since a Google employee suggested it, however that other unanswered questions remain :What actions can a site owner undertake the moment that something like this occurs? Can the big search engines still say that things other people undertake on the web shouldn't ,uh, affect the SERP positions of someone elses site?If it's the case, does Google understand that they are actually creating the black market that benefits the spammy backlinks that Google wants to stop? Why is it, should you run across these types of backlinks, don't you just devalue them from the engine and move on?It's less crucial to many of us, to gain relief for these issues. It is vastly more meaningful to webmasters that someone fix these problems , as it will only get worse.

Look there for more: [http://www.seofaststart.com/ Dan Thies]
Thu, 19 Apr 2012 16:40:45 GMT DanThies http://beta.aalf.org/wiki/index.php?title=Talk:Dan_Thies
