The [http://bit.ly/Hvuwuv benchmade griptillian] is one of Benchmade's most popular models, and for very good reason. The Griptilian was my first great folder and, boy, did I choose an excellent one to begin with! The blade is 3.4" long having a decently wide belly. It is not an enormous knife, but is large enough to complete the job. While I choose a slightly bigger knife for some tasks, the Grip is as huge because the law permits in many states and may do whatever you need it to do. Steel is 154CM, which was the first higher end stainless that I had employed.

The modified drop point was great, though I truly possess a slight preference for a a lot more typical drop point shape. Even so, it almost certainly worked as well, or even better, for my purposes than a typical drop point would have.

The handles do feel a bit low-cost and light, but they nevertheless really feel excellent in the hand and did the job well. The Grip worked properly for everything that I asked it to do. The size was about perfect for pocket carry as most of the time, I put on jeans, so I can simply carry almost any size knife comfortably. Even with dress pants, the fit was good.

The Axis Lock was amazing - easily the very best lock kind that I have utilized (and there is not much more entertaining than flipping it open and closed). The 154CM steel held an edge far better than any knife that I had owned. While any stainless steel will rust below the proper conditions, I had no difficulty with rust spots at all, and I sweat a great deal when operating. My friends couldn't believe how sharp it was out of the box. I asked it to do some jobs that a pocket knife actually should not need to do, and it did them easily.

The only purpose that I don't have the Grip now is since I lost it at my church's function day, and I could have cried when I realized that it had disappeared. The knife isn't inexpensive, comparatively, but well worth the price and I wish to get an additional one as soon as possible! It could be one of my leading choices to get a great medium folder. The Griptilian is huge enough to do the job without acquiring in the way or interfering with travel. If you'd like an excellent multipurpose knife, get a Grip!
Fri, 27 Apr 2012 09:48:11 GMTCritchlowCloyd112http://beta.aalf.org/wiki/index.php?title=User_talk:CritchlowCloyd112
